Duckworth Demonstrates Strength with over $1.5M Raised in 3rd Quarter
Duckworth Responds to Right-Wing Super PACs with Grassroots Support
Congressional Candidate Tammy Duckworth will report raising $1,506,926 for the third quarter of 2012, her strongest fundraising quarter yet. Thanks to strong grassroots support for Tammy’s campaign, 94.9% of the individual contributions Duckworth received this quarter were for $100 or less and the average individual contribution was $53.17. The $1.5M raised makes Duckworth the highest fundraiser amongst all Congressional challengers.
“Over 19,000 contributors have sent a strong message that we need Tammy Duckworth in Congress to reach across the aisle and get results,” said Duckworth for Congress Campaign Manager Kaitlin Fahey. “With an average contribution of just $53, they represent a clear alternative to the small amount of individuals who fund Joe Walsh’s Super PACs and his Tea Party agenda. I know that Tammy will have the resources to win this election and get to work for the 8th Congressional District.”
Duckworth has focused her campaign on getting results for the 8th Congressional District and being a bipartisan voice in Washington. On Monday both the Daily Herald and Chicago Tribune endorsed Tammy Duckworth in her race against Joe Walsh.
