Tammy Duckworth for Congress

Duckworth Receives Award at Women’s Leadership Exchange Summit in Lombard

8th District Congressional candidate Tammy Duckworth was honored for her accomplishments at today’s Women’s Leadership Exchange Summit in Lombard, Illinois. The Women’s Leadership Exchange is a social entrepreneurship organization that seeks to address the unique challenges facing women in business. Duckworth received the Mary Schnack Award, which honors women who “do well by doing good,” and spoke to the conference about the issues women face as leaders.

“I’m honored to support an organization doing important work to help women succeed in business,” said Duckworth. “It’s great to see an organization helping small business owners and women leaders in the 8th district thrive.”

Courage and Common Sense

Tammy Duckworth and Senator Durbin

Tammy Duckworth has shown courage in her life and has shown common sense when it comes to dealing with the challenges that we face. She can not only help the veterans get on their feet, she can help unemployed workers as well. I am proud to endorse her.

She's the kind of person we need in Washington to make the practical decisions that will move this economy forward out of the recession, creating good paying jobs for the future. People in the 8th district will have a strong voice in Tammy Duckworth.

Senator Dick Durbin, (D-Illinois)
