Duckworth Breaks One Million Raised For General Election
House Challenger Raises Record $885,540 for Grassroots-Driven Campaign
Congressional candidate Tammy Duckworth will report raising at least $885,540 for the second quarter of 2012, her strongest fundraising quarter yet. Thanks to strong grassroots support for Tammy’s campaign, 91.7% of the individual contributions Duckworth received this quarter were for $100 or less and the average individual contribution was $79.97.
This is believed to be the highest quarter for any House challenger from either party. Duckworth has raised $1,047,447 to date for the general election.
“The outpouring of grassroots support for Tammy’s campaign to fight for good jobs and protect the American Dream is a strong indicator that voters are tired of Congressman Joe Walsh’s failure to meet his responsibilities and are eager for Tammy’s willingness to find practical solutions,” said Campaign Manager Kaitlin Fahey.
Tammy Duckworth has been meeting with Illinois families, small business owners, Veterans, and workers across the district on an American Dream Tour to share stories and ideas about what Washington should be doing to ensure everyone has an opportunity to work hard and succeed.
