Tammy Duckworth for Congress

Duckworth to Debate Her Primary Opponent Two More Times Before March 20th Primary

Iraq War Veteran Tammy Duckworth will debate her primary opponent both on TV and before a crowd of voters organized by the Democratic Township Organizations of Dupage County. WTTW-TV will air the first debate at 7 PM, Wednesday, March 7th. The second debate will occur at 2 PM, Saturday, March 10th at Jackson Middle School in Villa Park and will be open to the public and the media.

Duckworth, who has participated in more than twelve joint appearances with her primary opponent across the 8th Congressional District, said, “I’m very excited for these additional opportunities to talk about my record of creating tax credits in Illinois that put Veterans to work, my plan to put our economy back on track, and to once again let voters know what makes me tic as a person.”

Tammy Duckworth was recently endorsed for Congress by both the Daily Herald and the Chicago Tribune.

Courage and Common Sense

Tammy Duckworth and Senator Durbin

Tammy Duckworth has shown courage in her life and has shown common sense when it comes to dealing with the challenges that we face. She can not only help the veterans get on their feet, she can help unemployed workers as well. I am proud to endorse her.

She's the kind of person we need in Washington to make the practical decisions that will move this economy forward out of the recession, creating good paying jobs for the future. People in the 8th district will have a strong voice in Tammy Duckworth.

Senator Dick Durbin, (D-Illinois)
